A BRIEF HISTORY

Established journeymen of the Bristol music scene, with signings to Island Records and One Little Indian between them. Extensive European and USA tours in the 90’s opening for bands like Pearl Jam, The Cult, Pavement, Roy Ayres , Skunk Anansi & The Chilli Peppers.

The Weeds as individuals are not newcomers. After the ‘merry go round’ of the 90’s, things settled down for a while and bands came and went. Never quite ready to quit, it was the catalyst of singer songwriter Pete Lane that emerged & captured the interest of Julie, Andy & Ben, encouraging them to get back in the saddle again and get behind his original alternative music and so The Weeds were formed.
